Feel Good Friday #7: CALEF

Michelle Southern: Weekdays 2pm-7pm

Today I had the pleasure of interviewing former BRPD Police Chief Pat Englade who is now the President of CALEF, The Capital Area Law Enforcement Foundation.

CALEF began after Officers Gerald, Garafola and Jackson’s lives were tragically taken from them in an attack on July 17, 2016. Officer Tullier was also injured during this heinous act and continues to battle bravely to recover.

This effort is dedicated in remembrance of these courageous officers who paid the ultimate price while serving the community as well as to those officers who continue to lose their lives in the line of duty in the Capital Area. CALEF provides protective equipment to law enforcement agencies and offer assistance to families of LEOs in times of crisis.
