{Interview} Volunteer with BREC!

Michelle Southern: Weekdays 2pm-7pm

BREC really has always been at the forefront of giving back to the community and giving our community ways to help fulfill that mission. Obviously there are new sets of challenges these days that we are all working through, but there are two major volunteer opportunities BREC is offering right now.

The first is Wheels and Reels!

BREC is hosting a drive-in style movie in the Park. This all-day event will feature 5 top box office hits the entire family will enjoy, so load up the car, bring the family out to enjoy a day filled with fun, raffles, giveaways and more!

You can also help BREC grade their Parks through the Park Score Card Project.

The project consists of going to one or more parks and completing a survey and basically giving the park a grade based on six park features: grounds & green spaces, playground, athletic fields, buildings & structures, accessibility, and amenities. Our goal is to use the information provided to make the necessary improvements needed to our parks.

The survey is digital and can be completed at anytime that is convenient for the volunteer. This is a great opportunity for individuals or groups who want to earn hours on their own time.

Check out my interview below with Volunteer Manager Chentrell Brown to learn more about these opportunities.
