Michelle here! I’ve got many horse enthusiast friends and they rave about BREC’s Farr Park Equestrian Center, and how awesome it is that we have such a facility in Baton Rouge. You may not have even known that BREC does horseback riding?
And there is a “can’t miss” event, which is their free annual Open House, Saturday October 20th beginning at 10am. Held in both Farr Park’s indoor and outdoor arenas, guests will enjoy a petting zoo, game, prizes, barn tours, hay rides and riding demonstrations.
Plus an opportunity to watch Farr Park students compete in both English and Western style competitions during the annual Student Show.
The Mississippi State/LSU game doesn’t kick off until 6 that day, so there is plenty of time to bring the family out to take in all of Farr Park’s wonderful amenities as the facility is just a couple of miles away from campus.
That’s where I’ll be! I hope to see you October 20th at BREC’s Farr Park Equestrian Center, beginning at 10am.
