The Need Has Never Been Greater
Before COVID-19, one in seven individuals in the 11-parish service area and one in five children were facing food insecurity. The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank is now responding to an even larger need for a variety of reasons:
- Families are experiencing temporary unemployment and lost income
- Contact-dependent donations and food drives are currently impossible
- Food stockpiling has resulted in fewer community donations
- A decrease in donations through the Retail Store Program
Join The Guaranty Foundation and GMFS Mortgage in “Banking on BR.” These two organizations will be matching $50,000 in community donations. Won’t you feed your neighbor? Every dollar you donate today can help provide three meals to help your Baton Rouge neighbors. Visit brfoodbank.org/bankingonbr to learn more.
We’re #BankingOnBR because we believe in this community. After you donate, reach out on social media to tell us why you’re #BankingOnBR.
