Frost Elementary receives donation from Kellogg’s at Rouses

Michelle Southern: Weekdays 2pm-7pm

Today I had the pleasure of joining representatives from Frost School at Rouses in Denham Springs as they were presented a check from Tony the Tiger and Kellogg’s as part of Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes Mission Tiger. The event was in celebration of a $15,000 donation that will go to support middle school sports projects across the Gulf Coast.

Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes Mission Tiger has contributed to more than 7,400 school projects valued at $2.6 million.

For every purchase of a Frosted Flakes box, a $2 donation is made by uploading a picture of the receipt online at MissionTiger.com.

I spoke with Mandy Triplett, manager of customer insights for Kellogg’s, to tell us all about it.

Rouses’ category manager, Heather Stewart, was also on hand to talk about why it’s important for the grocery chain to become involved with important initiatives such as this.
