The Lynyrd Skynyrd Monument will be holding a special event this Friday, October 20th, on the anniversary of the plane crash in remembrance of the tragedy and commemoration of survivors and rescuers. They will also be unveiling a brand-new section of the monument from Gene Odom, crash survivor and Ronnie’s fishin’ buddy.
There will be musical performances by Kendall Shaffer and Chris LeBlanc beginning at 12 noon, so bring a lawn chair and come early. To learn more about the Lynyrd Skynyrd Monument and the event, click here.
