Ochsner Opens New Urgent Care Clinic on Monday
BATON ROUGE – Residents in the Central, Denham Springs and Zachary areas now have a quick and easy option for healthcare services. Ochsner Urgent Care – Central has opened at 10513 Sullivan Road, in the former Essential Credit Union location next to Raising Cane’s.
The clinic will initially be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Weekend hours will be added this January. The clinic phone number is 225-388-6920.
Urgent care offers a variety of walk-in services for adult and pediatric (six months and up) patients and is equipped to treat many common ailments, including, but not limited to:
- Cough, cold and/or sore throat
- Fever and/or flu-like symptoms
- Flu shots
- Urinary tract infections (UTI)
- Earaches
- Pinkeye
- Rash and/or skin irritation
- Sinus problems
- Stomachaches
- Allergies
- Cuts needing stitches or minor burns
- Sprains or broken bones
- Rapid COVID-19 testing
“Ochsner offers convenient access to a wide array of services all across the Baton Rouge region,” said Chuck Daigle, CEO, Ochsner Baton Rouge. “The list of locations we have is expansive and we continue to add new health clinics, urgent care centers and therapy facilities. Patients can also get care from their smartphone using Ochsner Anywhere Care.”
Other urgent care locations include Ochsner Urgent Care – Arlington Marketplace (650 Arlington Creek Centre Drive, Suite E), Ochsner Urgent Care and Occupational Health – Highland Park (18303 Old Perkins Road East, Suite 304) and Ochsner Urgent Care – Lagniappe Center (14601 Airline Hwy, Suite 103, Gonzales).
Like other Ochsner locations, this new urgent care facility connects patients to the entire Ochsner Health network through Epic – Ochsner’s integrated electronic medical record system. Ochsner physicians can quickly and securely access any past medical information and share results with other Ochsner medical providers. This reduces the need for repeat testing, saving patients time and money.

Christmas Eve: All locations open 8AM-5PM
Christmas Day: Arlington Marketplace & Lagniappe Center open 2PM-6PM (Central & Highland Park closed)
New Year’s Eve: All locations open 8AM-5PM
New Year’s Day: Arlington Marketplace & Lagniappe Center open 2PM-6PM (Central & Highland Park closed)
