Vykky Cave is the newest edition to Eagle 98.1’s local airstaff, and she delights listeners every Saturday and Sunday afternoon from 2pm-6pm. Vykky is no stranger to delighting audiences in our area, as she performs all over town with local party bands and whoever else she can wrangle!
The moment Vykky first hit the airwaves on Baton Rouge’s heritage rock station, comments flooded in from listeners clamoring to know more about her.
Born in New Orleans, raised in Las Vegas, and a survivor of 30 years in NYC, she has hammed it up in Vegas-style production shows and on Broadway. Highlights include The Who’s Tommy, How to Succeed In Business…, Cabaret, Aida, The Boy From Oz, and touring as a background singer with Steely Dan. Vykky is thrilled to bring all these flavors back to her home state and fulfill a lifelong dream of playing the best classic rock on the radio! Her dad always told her that was where she belonged, but she had no idea this dream would actually come true… and that Skenes would be signed to the Pittsburgh Pirates! Her dad is definitely keeping busy up there.
Vykky also lends her talents to the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge as a guest artist while developing her role there. She is dedicated to making art, theater and music education accessible to all.
